PARIENTES is a journey into memories, into people, into the imagination of migrant people who gave birth to another culture and, at the same time, preserved their own by bringing it to new life; it is an arch that stretches between the banks and over time. Thus, adventures of love, memories, sentimental intertwining are born, and between a milonga, a tango, a cumbia, stories of real life emerge, of daily efforts and desire for redemption, of legality and delinquency, and, why not, of culinary traditions to be exported and maintained as an essential and distinctive feature of a community. Family groups, small or large, reveal themselves to be custodians of a unique and universal humanity. The “tanos” (diminutive of “Neapolitan”) have become Andean and vice versa, giving life to the new that always smacks of ancient. PARIENTES, with the intense music and words full of gestures and stories, is for those who keep fire in their soul, for those who hate and never say it, for those who have love in their eyes and the sun in their chest, but yes just dance life with charisma and mystery.
